Kris och kritik 11-12

Cover and illustrations for Kris och kritik no. 11-12.

For their double issue with the theme Historiemetafysik och förfall (History metaphysics and decay) Hannah and Nils at Kris och kritik invited me to create illustrations depicting ruins, entropy and decay.

Having no acces to a printing press,  i had spent the early winter months of 2018 experimenting with brush drawings on plastic. When scanning the pieces of plastic, i had what i called a “digital monotype”. I decided to use this technique for the issue. Not the least because of the techniques character of decay. I also wanted the illustrations to work well together with typography in what was to become a small book. The result was 20 drawings and a cover design.

Released in the summer of 2018.
